Versatility is one of the main features of LeNETmobile systems. With its broad range of configurations and sensor inputs, the system can be adapted for any application that involves monitoring environmental variables, regardless of whether the environment is natural or man-made.
Monitoring environmental conditions is a key element of providing human comfort in indoor spaces: an HVAC system can only become smart if it can assess the situation in real time. Basically, when temperature and humidity fall outside of a specified range, people start to feel uncomfortable, and prolonged exposure to unsuitable environmental conditions can even lead to health issues.
Hanover Housing is a UK-based owner of real estate, focusing on providing housing solutions for people of ages 55 and above. Hanover is characterized by their focus on smart living, energy efficiency and resident engagement. One of their projects consisted on deploying a system to optimize temperature and humidity conditions at 15 of their properties, and GSM weather stations by Logic Energy offered the required monitoring service.
LeNETmobile GSM weather stations are compatible with various sensors that allow temperature and relative humidity to be monitored for a broad range of applications.
The #110S is an active temperature sensor that comes equipped with a six-layer radiation shield, allowing it to make precise measurements in outdoor applications without being affected by the current sunshine level. The radiation shield also provides protection against ice accumulation.
This sensor can operate within a very broad range of temperatures, from -40°C to 52.5°C, and at any level of relative humidity from 0 to 100%, offering a rated service life of 10 years. Other than environmental monitoring, the sensor is suitable for meteorological studies and assessment of potential sites for renewable energy projects.
This probe uses an NTC (negative temperature coefficient) thermistor that can operate within a temperature range of -50°C to 110°C. It comes with an IP65 plastic enclosure, offering dust-tightness and water-tightness for all applications excluding those were the sensor will be subject to immersion, temporary flooding or powerful jets of water.
The HM1500 is a capacitive analog humidity transducer that provides an output of 0V to 3.6V for the range of 0 to 100% relative humidity. The sensor can be integrated directly with a microcontroller thanks to its analog voltage output, and can operate at temperatures within the range of -40°C to 60°C.
